Our founder and CEO, Mexican born and Ivy League educated, with a background in global consulting and an entrepreneur since his teens is the visionary behind Emerging Demographics. Regarded as one of the top young entrepreneurs by Businessweek.com, Mr. Portnoy is a regular in the national press. It is his vision that created the company and its line of products and services. Mr. Portnoy, along with his Board and Board of Advisors has developed Emerging Demographics from a concept to a fast-growing enterprise.

Mr. Portnoy also is a recognized expert on the issues of immigration and its relationship to the staffing industry, and has been quoted recently in Entrepreneur magazine, Staffing Industry and Workforce Management among other places.

Mr. Portnoy, a seasoned CEO, international businessman and cross-border visionary, brings to Emerging Demographics nearly 30 years of experience building and extending businesses in both Mexico and the United States. He has maintained several executive management roles, and was the CEO of one of the largest publishing companies in Mexico.

COO, Sara Katz
Ms. Katz has a long record of achievement in philanthropy and management. She co-founded the well-known Instituto Emuna School in Mexico (1985), of which she went on to become Chairman of the Board in 1995. She co-founded various other educational institutes and has served on numerous non-profit boards, including Federacion Feminina in Mexico and Keren Ohr, a school for children with multiple disabilities. Ms. Katz lives in New York.
